I'm back.

I'm back after a buisness trip for work and spending the weekend with my brothers family. It was great to come home last night and have lots of packages of ornaments waiting for me (From the cake&pie ornament swap). I'm getting my ornaments out in a few days! I promise!

The Facts...

Alright here are 5 things you may not know about me...

1. I love airbrushed shirts. Always have always will. They just have a special place in my heart, from many trips to Gulf Shores as a kid.

2. Melted snickers in the microwave is one of my favorite treats...seriously try it. (melt for about 20 seconds, you should be good-to-go)

3.Chartreuse is my new favorite color.

4. My mom makes the best homemade gravy, seriously I've tried to make it several times and it just taste like paste.

5. trying to come up with something else....untill then i'll just tag...

I'm so excited for the holidays this year and actually getting to go home and be with my family. Last year we had Thanksgiving at my brother Matt's house which was lots of fun with the entire family and some friends that couldn't go home. But for Christmas I had to miss out due to work. This year I am working with a new company and get to spend both Turkey day and Christmas at home. There is just something special about being at your own home...have I mentioned I'm excited?!

In a hurry

Life is filled with unexpected events. We set out each day thinking that we are going to do certain things and the unexpected happens. I make lots of list, I’m constantly writing things down that I need to do. I said in my profile how I enjoy a good rainy day. Today is one of those days. It makes me want to slow down a bit, drink some hot chocolate and listen to the rain.


Isn’t it weird… how certain songs get stuck in your head? This morning I woke up with this Alabama song in my head. I have no idea why… I can’t remember the last time I heard it. But as I was singing it in my head I thought it was such a good reminder.

I’m in a Hurry (And don’t know why)

End of August

August has flown by. It has been a very good, very warm month here in the south. I'm very excited for fall. I love getting magazines in that have tons of holiday craft ideas. I'm ready to carve a pumpkin and drink hot apple cider...maybe it's a little soon for that. But anywho I'm ready.

I'll post pictures soon of my last photo shoot, an engagement couple. They are so cute together. I love shooting couples...especially engaged ones because they are so happy and excited!

In other news... one of my best friends and roommate is moving back to the West Coast to be closer to her family. While I'm sad to see her go, it's pushing me to actually pursue more options with my photography. Many people of suggested that I turn her room into a studio...and that's just what I am going to do. It will be a studio for my indoor portrait sessions and all things crafty. Stay tuned for pictures coming the beginning of September...
